# Escrow And Open Source

The manifest includes two `escrow_ignore` layouts.

Only one should be active before packaging.

### Open Source Version

Use this when shipping the full source version:

```lua
escrow_ignore {
    'config.lua',
    'ui.lua',
    'locale.lua',
    'bridge/**/*.lua',
    'client/**/*.lua',
    'server/**/*.lua',
    'locales/**/*.json',
    'web/**/*',
}
```

This keeps all main source files visible and editable.

### Escrow Version

Use this when shipping an escrow protected version:

```lua
escrow_ignore {
    'config.lua',
    'ui.lua',
    'locale.lua',
    'bridge/**/*.lua',
    'locales/**/*.json',
}
```

This keeps configuration, UI theme, locales, and bridge files editable.

### Switching Package Type

For open source:

* Leave the open-source block uncommented.
* Keep the escrow block commented.

For escrow:

* Comment the open-source block.
* Uncomment the escrow block.

Do not leave both blocks active at the same time.
