# Frameworks And Bridges

Which inventory and targeting resources are supported, and how they are picked.

Inventory and targeting calls go through a bridge, so the resource is not tied to any one inventory or target script.

### What Is Supported

| System        | Supported                                                                                                                      |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Inventory** | ox\_inventory, qs-inventory, origen\_inventory, codem-inventory, ps-inventory, qb-inventory, or the QB / ESX player inventory. |
| **Target**    | ox\_target, qb-target, qtarget. Optional.                                                                                      |
| **Framework** | Qbox, QBCore, ESX. Only used as an inventory fallback. |

### How One Is Chosen

Both settings default to `auto`, which picks the first supported resource that is actually running, in the order listed above.

```lua
bridge = {
    target = 'auto',
    inventory = 'auto',
},
```

Name one explicitly if you run more than one and want a specific choice:

```lua
bridge = {
    target = 'qb-target',
    inventory = 'qb-inventory',
},
```

{% hint style="info" %}
A name that is not running falls back to detection rather than failing, so a typo costs you the override, not the resource.
{% endhint %}

### What Goes Through The Bridge

| Call                          | Used for                                          |
| ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Item count | Checking the player can afford to start fuelling. |
| Remove item | Taking payment at the pump. |
| Add item, can carry | Buying a petrol can. |
| Weapon metadata | Petrol can durability. **ox\_inventory only.** |
| Add model, add global vehicle | Registering the pump and vehicle target options. |

### The One Thing That Does Not Bridge

The petrol can stores its remaining fuel as durability metadata on the item. Only `ox_inventory` exposes an API for reading and writing weapon metadata, so on any other inventory the can is disabled and the server prints a line at startup naming the inventory it detected.

Pump refuelling, payment, prices and everything else work on all supported inventories.

### Replacing Payment Entirely

If your server uses something the bridge does not cover - a bank balance, a cash item with a different name, a custom economy - replace the payment path instead of adding an inventory. See [Exports And Events](/devmosaic/resources/devmosaic-ox-fuel-rework/exports-and-events.md).
