# Troubleshooting

The handful of things that actually go wrong, and what fixes them.

### No nozzle appears when I pick one up

`Dm_fuel_assets` is not running. Check your console for it and make sure it starts before `ox_fuel`.

### There are no prompts on screen

You have `ox_target = true`. That mode deliberately hides the key prompts and puts everything on the target eye. Either use the eye, or set it to `false` to get prompts back.

### I cannot find the option to use the pump

The pump screen only becomes available once the nozzle is seated in a vehicle. Pick it up, attach it, then use the pump.

### "Move closer to the nozzle holder"

You are close enough for the interaction to appear but not close enough to pick it up - those two distances are different. Stand about a metre and a half from the nozzle itself rather than from the pump body.

### "This nozzle is already in use"

Someone else is holding it. Most pumps have a second nozzle on the other side.

### The hose keeps disconnecting

Three things do this:

* Walking further than `attachedHoseReach` from the pump.
* Moving the vehicle more than half a metre after attaching.
* Teleporting, or going more than 15 metres from the pump.

If it happens on a specific vehicle at a sensible distance, raise `attachedHoseReach` a little.

### "The nozzle must be seated in the fuel inlet"

The nozzle attached at an angle that did not land in the opening. Remove it and attach again facing the fuel cap squarely.

### The nozzle attaches in the wrong place on one vehicle

Add an override for that model in `data/vehicles.lua`. See [Vehicle Fuel Inlets](/devmosaic/resources/devmosaic-ox-fuel-rework/vehicle-inlets.md).

### A pump stopped working

A pump caught in an explosion is marked unusable and stays that way until the resource restarts. Restart `ox_fuel`.

### "Petrol can disabled" in the server console

The can stores its remaining fuel as item durability, and only `ox_inventory` supports that. On any other inventory the can is turned off. Pump refuelling is unaffected.

### The pump takes no money, or the wrong amount

Check which inventory was detected. If the wrong one is picked, set `bridge.inventory` explicitly in `config.lua` rather than leaving it on `auto`.

### The target options do not appear

Set `ox_target = true` in `config.lua`, and make sure one of ox\_target, qb-target or qtarget is actually started. If more than one is running, name the one you want in `bridge.target`.

### Players report frame drops at big stations

Lower `displayQuality` first. See [Performance](/devmosaic/resources/devmosaic-ox-fuel-rework/performance.md).

### The tank fills too slowly or costs too much

Both come from the same two settings. At defaults a full tank is 200 ticks - 50 seconds and $1,000. Adjust `refillValue` for speed and `priceTick` for price. See [Configuration](/devmosaic/resources/devmosaic-ox-fuel-rework/configuration.md).

### Grades all cost the same

They are cosmetic. This is expected. See [Configuration](/devmosaic/resources/devmosaic-ox-fuel-rework/configuration.md) for how to wire real pricing through the payment export.
